THE CALL OF GOD.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. 2Pet. 1:10

  2. The greatest way to honour your elders is to secure the continuation of their work – Jon R. Bisagno 2Tim. 2:1-2. The Acts of the Apostles is the continuation of Jesus ministry. Acts. 1:1-3.

  4. Jesus teachings, instructed us to  say ”We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which is our duty to do” Lk.17:10. We are saved to serve the Lord, and serve others but born to rule over the powers of the enemy.

In his epistles, he quotes from the Pentateuch, the prophets, the psalms, now literally and freely. He throws a flood of light on obscure passages. Through the revelation of Christ, the Old Testament became the book of life, full of types and promises of the great facts of truths of the gospel salvation. He saw the father of faith, in Habakkuk a preacher of justification by faith, in the paschal lamb a type of Christ slain for the sins of the world. He was moving from place to place, and exposed to all sorts of hardship and persecution, he felt the duty to abide alone.He sacrificed the blessings of home and family to the advancement of the kingdom of Christ.
