- He is of the devil and under God’s wrath. Eph. 2:1-3, 12, Jn. 8:44-45, 1Jn. 3:8, 10.
- THE CARNAL MAN. The renewed man who remains babes and live fleshly. 1Cor.3;3; 2:14, Matt. 16:23, 1Cor. 14:20, Eph. 4:13-14, 1Jn. 2:12.

- Big babes- unwilling to pay the price for spiritual advancement
- He lacks an obedient heart to yield and go the way of the cross. 1Cor. 3:2. Heb. 5:12-14.
- Walking as ordinary men. 1Cor.1:12; 3:3-5, Rom. 7:11, 13, 14, 17.
- He uses carnal security and weapons. Is. 28:15, Col. 2;18, Obad. 3, Is. 47:7-9, 2Cor. 10:3-5
- THE SPIRITUAL MAN.1Cor.2:6, Gal.6:1.
- He is a new man. Eph. 4:22, Col. 3:10, Eph. 2;15. He is begotten of God, with a holy appetency, new understanding, a heart of flesh and a new governing disposition.
- He has a new mind, the mind of Christ. 1Cor. 2:16, Phil. 2:5, Rom. 12:3, Ps. 48:9, Pro. 12:5, Phil. 4:8.
